Stephen Robert Irwin - The Crocodile Hunter
(February 22, 1962 – September 4, 2006)

At 11am (1 am GMT time) on the 4th of September 2006, Steve Irwin died after a barb from a sting ray he was filming punctured his heart. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Steve Irwin has done a great deal and helped people understand the reptile world and has been an amazing conservationist. He will be sadly missed by everyone and we hope that he will be remembered for a long time for the amazing job he has done. Our hearts go out to his Family, and to those closest to him.

Rest in peace Steve, and always remember, 'In Australia, Crocs Rule!'
